Fabrica de Arte Cubano, Havana

4.7
Head to the heart of Cuban contemporary art at Fabrica de Arte Cubano, an events and exhibition space. Situated in what was once the headquarters of the city's electricity company, and later an olive oil factory, the cultural center opened in 2014. Showcasing Cuban music, theater, dance, and visual arts, the center often combines more than one art form in its exhibits. Performances and exhibits are delivered in a clear, conversational style that seeks to demystify the artistic process and make it relevant to younger generations. • A wide manufactures of oil that is not in operation and have been recycled and decorated the place to support art, truth is curious... I recommend visit at dusk

  • We had really great contacts with local artists on site. Here we were in a good and friendly Reparto.

  • Art mixed with great music. You can spend the night looking at Art from some of Cuba's best artists or dance the night away. Many bars and clubs to choose from. Excellent Musical variety.
  • This was a very cool place to visit in the Vedado neighborhood of La Habana. Fun music, energetic atmosphere, good drinks, and food if you want it. GO EARLY when it opens so you're not stuck in the crowds and long lines. The staff is friendly, entrance is 2 CUC, and drinks are pretty cheap (2.5 CUC for a piña colada, 2 CUC for sangria, etc - I have a photo of the upstairs bar menu below). The art is interesting and the overall experience is different than one you'd receive from visiting the art museums in Old and Central Habana - which, by the way, cost 8 CUC per person to enter. Tips for the taxi: The taxi ride there should cost 10 CUC or less from Old or Central Habana (you could get it down to 6 or 8 if you argue more) depending on what you negotiate with taxi drivers, but no more than 10 CUC.
  • There's so much to see, and so many differnt levels and art installations. Plus there are bars and different club/dancefloors scattered througout the warehouse. The line outside looks long but moves very fast and it isnt terribly expensive to get in. Theres also a great restaurant next door to eat at called El Cocinero. Make a reservation for the restaurant and you're set.
  • The place to be, very stylish, lot of young people. Be sure to reserve in advance, or plan to take some drinks at the rooftop bar while you wait. Food is okay, drinks are okay. Service is good. Worth a visit, just for the view and the atmosphere.
  • A total must in La Habana. Go early! Queues are long and capacity is limited
