  • If you go to Havana, you must go through the Boardwalk! It is amazing how buildings can be seen from there. You must also appreciate the strong waves that crash against the rocks and wet all over the asphalt. From there comes the phrase: "until it dries the Malecon"

  • This is a fantastic spot for sunsets especially on the weekend when you have a lot of families and groups mingling and singing ..
  • I love this place. The sunsets are amazing, and the vibe to just being at the Malecón is magical.
  • Magical. It's like going back in time.
  • Stretch of land alonside the sea (or ocean, IN not sure what is there). Looks romantic at evening sunset, feels less romantic when you hear for the 7th time a blatant proposal of sex or viagra "cheaper tan in the west" or cigarrs "cheaper than in the center".
  • The place to be.

Where to stay in Havana

Old Havana remains the most popular neighborhood to stay in Cuba's capital. Here you'll find all manner of accommodations, from budget guesthouses and bed and breakfasts to luxury hotels. Some of the back streets in the old town can be quite rough, so visitors with children might want to steer clear of the area. Providing a quieter, more residential alternative, the western suburb of El Vedado exudes a relaxed atmosphere and serves as the perfect spot for a family vacation. If you're after better beach access, look farther west to the upper-class district of Miramar.
