4.4/5 based on 170 reviews on the web
Admire the architecture and striking bell tower at Church and Convent of St. Francis of Asisi, a symbol of Havana's Franciscan order. Built in its present form in 1716, the current structure is a reconstruction of the original, which the Franciscans erected over a century earlier in 1591. Head inside to see the hulking statue of Jesus suspended over the altar, then climb up the tower stairs for views over town. Check the church's schedule of events ahead of arrival: the acoustics here make it well worth catching a concert if you can. • Part of the journey and visit Old Havana! When you enter the square and you can see the image of the Church with its architecture seems left in time, it is very interesting to take the internal, by their courtyards, and go up to the top where you have a beautiful view photo obliged with the beggar of paris, for good luck!
