Bacardi Building, Havana

Categories: Architectural Buildings, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web
Built in 1930, Bacardi Building is popular for its size and elegant Art Deco architecture. Once the largest building in the city, a group of architects originally designed this attraction for the Bacardi company. However, the popular rum manufacturer departed Cuba after the Cuban revolution, and the massive building has since been used for offices. Tourists are encouraged to stroll around the buidling, and Art Deco lovers should explore the interior as well. Ask about taking the elevator to the roof for sweeping views of the city. • The old head office of the Bacardi rum. Here they sat before the family departed from Cuba i.v.m. other insights about the revolution. Beautiful art deco and above on the logo of Bacardi, the bat. To see this properly you need to view it right on to another hotel.

  • Big and prominent building. But nothing very special to admire. You can go there, take some poctures and that is everything
  • If you are really lucky you can walk past just before sunset and get invited in. For just 1 US dollar the security guard will let you go to the top and you can watch the beautiful sunset over Habana. Best experiance of any of my 4 trips to Cuba.

  • The building was the headquarters of Bacardi to the Cuban revolution. The work of the architect Mies van der Rohe. If you pay 1 CUC enjoying the view from the upper floors by elevator and stairs. Severe pain, such as wall art deco façade, the lobby is great, but on the top floor exposed rebar that is not serviceable, so painfully.

  • Superb tour in the purest art deco style. Not to be missed! During the low season it is possible to take the elevator to the 7th floor and ending walk, enjoy a breathtaking view of Havana. Ask the guardian, it should let you go up against a smile and 1 CUC per person.
