  • The Lonely Planet Guide describes it as an absolute beauty, but the reality is less fascinating than words. There is history in its palaces and maybe even some care not always found in Cuban monuments, but there is a limit to the exaltation

  • The main plaza for Cienfuegos. It's 1 of the better plazas in Cuba. I would highly recommended paying the $1 to go up the cool spiral staircase. You get fantastic views of the surrounding area.
  • Park is ok, area is vert nice
  • Mucho fuego. Muuuchoooooow!
  • Typical Cuban towns, cute square, surrounded by buildings all around. Under the trees people chatting looking for refreshment. The buildings are historic: the theater was headquarters of Castro and Afterward during the battle with government militias. It's worth wandering and talking to people.
