Playa Pilar, Cayo Guillermo
(4.6/5 based on 1,900+ reviews on the web)
Traverse an elevated walkway as it guides you across shoreline grasses to Playa Pilar. Dense, powdery sands make this beach easy to walk along. Bring along your snorkel gear and explore the bay, or visit the island and its surrounding reef. The beach features a restaurant and bar where you can take in the tropical view. Consider bringing a beach umbrella, as there is limited natural shade, although you can rent beach chairs or take advantage of a few shaded shelters on the sand. Put Playa Pilar and other Cayo Guillermo attractions into our Cayo Guillermo vacation route planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • On the basis of the recommendations we have taken the shuttle bus to the beach and were charmed of course by beautiful water and white sandy beach. Also, mention is that many algae are located on the beach itself and the beach this is something dirty. Our beach would clean daily, therefore which was even more beautiful... Conclusion: a half-day trip is worth!

  • The beach is perfect, but i think Cubans could clean the sea grass regulary (once a day). Honestly - I was a bit dissapointed - so little is needed to make this beach perfect.
  • It is a beautiful beach, but not for both, brings you the tourist bus, cobra 5 cucs per person and you can come down and get the times that you want, you go to a private place, not charge you for being on the beach, but if the deck chairs, umbrellas and you got for lunch or some drinks are not expensive
