Playa Pilar, Cayo Guillermo

(4.6/5 based on 2,200+ reviews on the web)
Traverse an elevated walkway as it guides you across shoreline grasses to Playa Pilar. Dense, powdery sands make this beach easy to walk along. Bring along your snorkel gear and explore the bay, or visit the island and its surrounding reef. The beach features a restaurant and bar where you can take in the tropical view. Consider bringing a beach umbrella, as there is limited natural shade, although you can rent beach chairs or take advantage of a few shaded shelters on the sand. Put Playa Pilar and other Cayo Guillermo attractions into our Cayo Guillermo vacation route planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Pillar beach is lovely the sea is crystal blue and so clear, the sand is like sifted flour. There are beach beds which are reasonable to hire and the majority have shade to get under. There is a beach...  more »
  • Ideal to relax and enjoy. A little pricey (you have to pay the sunbed, sunshade, all), but the quality of the beaches, the beauty of the place and the grandeur make it worthwhile.

  • I find this wonderful beach, as well as the ciringuito on the beach. You can also hire sun beds with umbrellas in straw to 2 cuc per day. Shame on the horizon you can see the eco-monsters: luxury all inclusive, that absolutely do not integrate with the environment. When I was in August was very dry and there reano seaweed.
