  • Do please any misconceptions of this nature reserve! We also wanted to visit him in March. Error display. Only bookable as guided full day trip on foot. Alone or with the car is none. That should we have known and might have been then a day less in Baracoa. We are not so good. Other passengers described the made with tour as less us spectacularly, you've seen nothing new. Maybe it's rather random, what runs the Group on the way.

  • I found the tropical forest here look very similar to the jungle closer to the town of Baracoa with also many beautiful orchids and small waterfalls. The reserve is 1, 5hours South West of Baracoa and there life special Cunaanse fauna as polimitas land snails; dwarf frogs; dwarf hummingbirds, Cuban Trogon. Entrance fee plus compulsory Guide.

  • In this national park you can make beautiful walks, unfortunately only with Guide (such as almost everywhere in cuba). You must first have a bumpy ride of 1 to 2 hours for about from baracoa. I made the balcon de iberia walk. You come along (and by) the little river, and sees alternating parts of the forest. This is all together about 9 km long, if you include the walk to the starting point with it. In the early going the what's up, then it is less strenuous. All in all we did there about 2.5 hours. The final piece goes with the ox cart, because you have a number of times by the river. At the beginning is a stall of villagers, with the inevitable souvenirs, but also water and fresh coconuts (for fresh coconut water through a bamboo straw) there are for sale. On the way back to baracoa you can stop at the beach.
