Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web
Replete with imperial architecture and a modern layout, Lower Town serves as a showcase for Zagreb's modern development. Created in the 1870s, the city recalls the shape of a horseshoe, though this was not ever fully completed. Wander the city to explore its network of gardens, parks, and wide boulevards, as well as stores, shops, galleries, and museums, including an ethnographic display and a collection of famous European paintings. You'll find that the area's Hapsburg rulers infused the buildings with a taste of Austrian style. Finish of your tour of the square of Marshal Tito, where you can admire the nearby ornate palace.
