Dolac Market, Zagreb

(340+ reviews on the web)
Farmers Market
Situated right near the main cathedral, Dolac Market lets tourists experience a slice of local Croatian life. Fresh flowers, regional olive oil, dairy products, and fresh burek are just a few of the items sold here. While these markets are common in Croatian cities, Zagreb's is one of the largest and very popular with the locals. You, too, can do most of your food shopping here: the selection is good, the stall-keepers give lots of information about what they're offering, and in many cases, it's cheaper than the grocery store around the corner. • A dream of market. Re Gin ales and the best of what Croatia has to offer in one place. The sky for any gourmet. The bustling Interior regional and local product quality is excellent. The prices are very competitive for German Verhälntisse.

  • This market is easy to find. Just cross the street in fron of Cathedral or use the stairs from Tkalčićeva Street. It is small, but so lovely, full of fresh products. Otside you can buy fresh fruits an...  more »
  • The market is the heart of city life, countless banquets full especially of fruit and vegetables of all kinds that create a kaleidoscope of colours and perfumes, very busy especially on weekends but definitely is a must to do for those who want to know the true Zagreb. You can access your pets on a leash and even with strollers from a street in front of the Cathedral.

  • Best food market in Zagreb. It is very vivid, colourful, full of fresh veggies, fruit, cheese, fish, meat.... Definitely the place to visit and to stop to grab some fresh food or to have nice, home made fast food...
  • Quite a nice market to walk around. Selling all sorts, mainly fruit, veg, cheese on the terrace, meat and seafood in the hall. The top terrace sells flowers. There are more locals than tourists. Good atmosphere.
  • Very special place with a lot of fresh and exotic foods. Be careful and always make sure that the vendors weigh the amount of food you want. Otherwise they might try to rip you off.
  • Best market in the country and probably one of the best in the world. Fresh seasonal products from small producers all over the country.
  • The most famous and the largest bazzar (street market) in Croatia. Everything can be found there and it is also popular as a tourist site where the local life can be observed and tasted.
