The city's most imposing building, The St. Lawrence Cathedral represents Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles and features some of Croatia's most important architectural achievements. Built between the 12th and 17th centuries, its facade and interior were lavishly ornamented. Its portal, enriched with human forms, represents the peak of Dalmatian medieval plaster art. Visit the cathedral to see its superb sculptures and ornaments. Be sure to climb the 47 m (154 ft) bell tower, which provides open views of the bay and the rooftops of Trogir. • Who visits the historic city of Trogir, no way around this Cathedral. Without a truly remarkable building, inside you can on the Bell Tower climb and has a really great view of the city from there.

  • Actually stopped by to come up in the Tower, but there was plenty to see inside. Major exhibition of ancient ecclesiastical objects. Bibles, hymn books, and a large collection of silverware. Trip up in the tower was fun. A little airy to some, but nice stairs. Fun to go up along the walls. Great views at the top.

  • By going to the Tower we see the beautiful panorama of the old town, the island of Ciovo and even employing a landing aircraft and the airport. The Cathedral for me, have a Treasury and relics of the Saints. The price of 20-25 kun.

  • Very spiritual, holy place... Old and nice, All in rock inside, very cold..
  • Nice cathedral in a nice little town!
  • Do not forget to climb the bell tower. Excellent view over the city and the sea.
  • Grandiose architectonic creation was constructed and captureed from the 13th to 17th century so the styles we can find there are Romanic, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. There is a baptistery from the 15th century in the atrium by Andrija Aleši who was one of the masters that worked on it. Then there is a famous Radovan’s Portal from the 13th century, the magnificent church-tower which is a mixture of artistic styles, from Gothic to Mannerism. One can also find Saint John’s Chapel from 15th century there, which represents a masterpiece of European Renaissance. The cathedral’s sacristy and treasury date from the15th century along with art pieces made of silver, then church vestments, books and archives and other secret and public town wealth.
