The City Hall - Duke's Palace, Trogir

4.1
#4 of 11 in Historic Sites in Trogir
Memorable for its large clock tower facade and stunning Gothic architecture, The City Hall - Duke's Palace sits proudly in the main square of the Old Town of Trogir. First built in the 15th century as a symbol of political and economic strength of the city, it was also a residence for the duke. Gothic architectural features include a staircase in the courtyard, the winged lion of St. Mark, and many coats of arms of local families built into the walls. In the 17th century, the palace functioned as a theatre, but suffered extensive damage as a result of a fire. Subsequent architectural restorations were done in the Renaissance style. Today, the building serves as an administrative center. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to The City Hall - Duke's Palace by using our Trogir trip itinerary planning app .

Book your room ahead to stay there at peak season, or consider the more affordable options in the surrounding area. The nearby villages provide an alternative to staying in the city itself, offering everything from small rooms in private homes to elegantly furnished villas steps away from the sea.
