Walk along Riva Harbor, the city's seafront promenade, considered to be among Europe's finest. The site served as a palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian in the 3rd and 4th centuries CE; today it offers modern commodities and cafes that blend into the emperor's lavish property. Stroll along the turquoise Adriatic Sea lined with palm trees and stone buildings, and snap photos of the town that sits among green mountains the bay. Visit cozy cafes and eateries, watch street performers, and breathe in the fresh sea air.
