  • I don't get the good reviews for this place. Lovely building, but a random collection of artefacts from Split's past (that probably were not wanted by other museums in the city), very little narrative...  more »
  • Learn more about the history of Split and its people. The costume section was particularly good and the exhibition is well laid out over several floors.  more »
  • When in Split make you don't miss this. It is a great way to soak up the culture that Split has to offer. Go early in morning.  more »

  • Exciting collection in a nice building.
  • The history of the city and his citizens.
  • Peculiar collection of arms
  • Muzej grada Splita, dobra lokacija, odlična događanja i postavke ali ne stoji na dodjeli nagrade Zaštita kulturne baštine na prozoru balkona ono što visi.
  • Small but nice. Originally, the building where the Museum is located is a Palace 16.jh. in the great Roman Palace 4.jh. :) One of the descendants of this family was begeiseter for archaeology and started many ancient treasures in his house for issuing from the city of split, Trogir and Salona. Now, this was actually in a way the first birth of the Palace Museum.
