Bacvice Beach, Split

#1 of 10 in Beaches in Split

  • Great beach in the center of beautiful city. It is fantastic for small children. In the bening theee are a lož of bard and it's full of young people. Night swimming and playing picigin is something to...  more »
  • The (sand) Beach is always nice and clean. Restaurants and toilets are available. It goes very flat in the sea, you have to go very far until it becomes deep. The concern we have found a place never, it was every way too much going on. You have to like. No shady areas. For 1-2 bathroom floor ok, a whole week just to this beach, would have been but not that great.

  • This beach is located a few blocks from the port and bus station, is (rather dark) stationed water sand, have a playon of cement where to put chairs and where they have set up small stands selling. We went to the evening a long hot day and he exploited people.

  • Still super crowded after the sun went down and definitely sandy but only if you consider sand to be composed of 40% cigarettes, 10% miscellaneous trash, and 50% sand(but really isn't sand mostly mud). One of the most disgusting beaches in pretty much most parts of the world, and absolutely in Croatia. Do not recommend at all. We weren't even being that picky and it was this disappointing.
  • Not the cleanest beach. Offers shallow waters and is surrounded by lots of amenities: food, drink, and toilets. Gets very busy in peak season - if you keep travelling east you will get to quieter pebble beaches.
  • Sandy beach...good for small kids.
  • We went to this place to go swimming, the beach was very very busy. One of the worst experience!!
  • Crowded, not clean enough

Where to stay in Split

Split and its surrounding area boast an extensive system of private accommodations for rent, which range from simply furnished rooms to elegantly outfitted multi-room apartments. Many locals approach travelers at the main bus station with offers of available lodgings, but before you agree to anything, make sure you know the room's exact location in reference to the town center. For something more luxurious, check out the city's four- and five-star hotels, or consider an elegant villa a walk away from the major sights.
