See the ancient Temple Of Augustus, dedicated to Caesar himself some two millennia ago. Initially utilized for pagan rituals, through time the site evolved into a church, granary, and museum, but was nearly destroyed during World War II. See the well-preserved remnants of this temple at the former Roman forum. Observe its architectural style, which includes Corinthian columns and a richly decorated frieze, typical of the era. Step inside the temple to view its collection of ancient stone and bronze sculptures. Temple Of Augustus reviews
Very nice and well kept. Sadly many people sit on the stairs, so you need to manoeuvre around them. You need to pay to take a look inside, what you shouldnt do, because it is not worth it.

Beautiful temple, but a very brief visit is all that's necessary to cover the exhibit. Recommend a quick stop if you have the time!

You have to question how something so ancient still remains intact & remarkable to look at. Easily on a par with anything you'd see in Italy. Such a shame the other 2 temples did not survive.

If you’re in Pula, there’s no reason not to go. A quick trip is all you need to see this piece of history. They even have a designated selfi-spot for those in need of a new social medial display picture. There’s a fee to go inside (a very small one) and we found this place by accident so we were unprepared to go in. Overall, it’s located in a beautiful area and what we could see through the door was also beautiful. Definitely recommend taking 20 or 30 minutes to check it out.
Picturesque ruins. We got up early to catch the morning sun on the columns, less people too at that time. Well worth the effort if you're an early riser!
A lot of history and best to visit early in the morning when the square is empty, otherwise please be patient if you want to take a great picture. Beside the Colosseum, fortress this square and the temple are a must see in Pula.
The Temple, and the square in front of it, are a must see in Pula! It has history, it is spacious and right in the middle of the rustic part of the city, often hosting events like concerts, movies, dancing or gladiators.
A well-preserved Roman temple in the city of Pula, Croatia (known in Roman times as Pietas Iulia) located on former Roman Forum near the City hall. Dedicated to the first Roman emperor, Augustus, it was probably built during the emperor's lifetime at some point between 27 BC and his death in AD 14. It was built on a podium with a tetrastyle prostyle porch of Corinthian columns and measures about 8 by 17.3 m (26 by 57 ft), and 14 m (46 ft) high. The richly decorated frieze is similar to that of a somewhat larger and more recent temple, the Maison Carrée in Nîmes, France. These two temples are considered the two best complete Roman monuments outside Italy. You can visit the cella (inner sanctuary) for the price of 10,00 HRK.
