  • Stumbled across this place while out walking. Beautifully kept, and very tranquil. As the name suggests, it's a cemetery for navy personnel. From many nationalities, and wars.
  • There I happened quite by accident, walking from Verudela to Pula, and I found myself suddenly in front of the tomb of Nazario Sauro, of which I have read so many things in the history books and that for me is always the monument in front of the port of Trieste. Around then I saw so many graves of sailors and Austrian officers. My grandfather was in the port of Pola at the end of World War I, when it sank the Viribus Unitis, symbol of the Austrian Navy.

  • Quiet lovely cemetery with beautiful tombstones, mostly 19-th and beginning of the 20th century, especially the beautiful sights-have admirals of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, whose main military port and was the pool.
