  • This is a beautiful Roman triumphal arch right at the start of the old town walking street in Pula. Take a photo or two then meander on down the street for a nice afternoon. Don't forget to visit...  more »

  • A pretty cool looking arch for sure! Detailed and looks very well maintained. Great spot to visit when you're a fan of historical structures. For people who are looking for just something cool to see and take pictures of, without being too interested about all the details, this is just an arch. Nothing more, nothing less. When you're nearby, I'd definitely recommend just checking it out yourself! It's free to see anyhow!
  • Nice arch. It is at the start of main pedestrian street that cuts throughout the city center. In front of the arch there is a nice square with some bars that are offering nice drinks. Opposite to the arch there is a street that will lead you to the square in which there is a big market with fresh vegetables, meat and fish every day.
  • Going through it you'll feel for a second like a real Roman noble. Knowing its age it is stunning to see it standing surrounded by classical Croatian architecture... The No. 3 on the "Must see in Pula" list. 10 out 10 for me.
  • Named the Golden Gate, this is a beautiful ancient Roman remain dated 27 BC. It is amazing to see it and wonder about all the history this rich architectural craft has witnessed. Feeling fortunate to have been born in this city and stomping the same grounds as the Romans did centuries ago. Precious for a history lover.
  • Located directing at the opposite end of the Forum as Forum Square, this Arch is literally the gateway to the modern day Forum. Once passing through the Arch you will experience old Pula at it's finest. For hundreds of meters the Forum is lined with clothing, jewelry, candy, ice-cream, novelty items, restaurants, coffee shops, and more. As for my wife and I, this is one of our favorite places to spend our time in Pula when we feel like taking a stroll in the early morning or evening.
