Categories: Caves, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web
Take a guided tour of Jama - Grotta Baredine, an underground cave filled with sculptures, lakes, and odd little creatures called "human fish," found only in this part of the world. Due to millennia of complete darkness and seclusion, this cave has developed a world of its own--the temperature inside is constantly around 14 C (57 F), the walls are moist, and the ornaments otherworldly. The "human fish" are actually aquatic salamanders that are white to pinkish in color and blind. Walk the 300 m (1,000 ft) long pathway, visit five chambers, and hear facts about the cave. • 279 stairs, and some tight-ish spaces. Not bad if you're fit. Not good if you're not. Super friendly guide. I loved it and the kids were fascinated.
  • Excellent place to visit. Large parking and friendly staff. There's anything available, toilets, food, small zoo, tables to eat and even small adrenaline park (climbing). We visited cave with two small girls and they were a bit scared. On the way down we have to carry them a bit so we get a little dirty. Otherwise kids enjoyed, for them, thrilling tour.
  • Unique caves, but at some points difficult to walk because of steep and narrow stairs.
  • Nice caves, very interesting to visit, with competent and simphatic guides that show you all the particularity present in it. The prize for 40 minutes guided visit is very little (60 kn for 1 adult). Great !!!
  • Worth a visit, and a nice cycle
