  • Amazing and stunning walk around the most beautiful lakes and waterfalls. Sadly you can't swim here but it does mean the water is clear and beautiful. Tour guides very entertaining and knowledgeable. ...  more »
  • Took bus in Karlovac and desc in entry 1 the Park pay 55 Kuna per person per day, if you want to make the two days pay 90 kunas. Get there early to get the most out of the entire Park, not happy to just stay on the main trail, explore all the side trails parallel, because they will take you to other more beautiful and less tumultuous paths. Full of waterfalls of rivers of transparent waters make you see the whim that nature had there ... take picnic lunch and sit on a bench and enjoy the best snack of your life in a wonderful place.

  • Went this summer at the Park national of Plitvice with my boyfriend thinking that would be a walk a little boring, but certainly was brutal. We did the tour of the letter H and took a 5-6 hours, with rest included. The lakes and the waterfalls are spectacular. It is a place that makes you feel "fresco´´, ´´agusto´´. It is completely natural. I would a thousand times if I could. In addition is all super well located. It is impossible to miss. The only downside is that they are bathing in the Lakes, although if they stopped doing so possibly it wouldn't be as nice as it is.

  • Outstanding piece of nature that is preserved and well maintained. If you go on a overcast day with drizzles you get a totally different lighting that gives you beautiful photos. If you go on a Sunny day, the fish are out and happy to see you and the photos look quite dynamic I would say. It was paradise here.
  • While I stayed in a hostel about 5 minutes by car outside of the border of the national park, the day trip that I took into the park was quite excellent. While entry does cost money, it is relatively cheap, particularly compared to other things to do in Europe, and the views are stunning. I had an amazing time walking around the lower lakes, taking very frequent breaks to enjoy the views of the nature.
  • Where: Plitvice Lakes National Park - Croatia What: A hike in a forest reserve with many waterfalls How was it: This is a magnificent place, approximately one hour away from Zagreb. They have various hikes that you can choose depending on how much you want to walk and then you start exploring. I recall there was a shuttle that brought us to the starting point. Then we navigated through the paths and boardwalks, admiring the water and the falls. The water was turquoise blue, looked so delicious that we wanted to dive in but we didn't. This is something to see and we were impressed. Grade: Eli = 5, Serge = 5 Recommend: Yes, when in Croatia - check this place out.
  • The site is amazing. It's a must to see. There are two parking slots at entrance 1 and entrance 2 (I recommend the second one). Prepare with comfortable shoes. Not really recommended with dogs especially at summertime, and when lot of tourists expected. The routes and roads are very limited width and the piers are full with small gaps where dogs can hurt themselves. The entrance fee is a bit high compared with the quality of the service provided for that free. Some locals are avoiding to pay fees because this is just in a forest so through the forest it can be reached also. Tickets are checked usually on the bus and on the ships so a cheap visit can be done without also. The buses are without air conditioning, so expect no air inside. Especially on hot summer days with window all around it's a bit crazy. The ships are a very nice travel through the lake, sadly there are only two routes for them on one of the lakes, and the long one with a daily ticket (180 Kuna) can be done only one way only. With the two days ticket it is better.
  • Very nice natural feature. Therefore at least 3 stars. (I would like to give 5 but read onward) But there are some downsides coming from the fact that it's the most popular park in Croatia. Even outside the main season the place is quite crowded and unfortunately it can feel like money factory more than nature preserving park.
