Cres Island, Omisalj

Categories: Islands, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web
Tucked away under big blue skies, Cres Island features a craggy coastline, densely populated forests, and cliffs yielding panoramic views. This quiet island has a natural allure and plenty of untouched landscape to discover. The thick woods that cover most of it provide a natural habitat for the protected griffon vulture. The island's prime source of income has long been sheep-rearing, with local lamb a culinary delicacy. Be sure to include a stop at the island's most famed point of interest, the medieval town of Lubenice. Our Krk Island trip generator makes visiting Cres Island and other Krk Island attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

This place has still very few inhabitants. The nicer side of CRES is Cres Town with the beautiful Marina. Unfortunately at the wrong side.
