  • Great experience to this area by bike from Makarska. Only cycling experience is necessary because the road is narrow and runs pretty up. Magnificent views and nature.

  • Did you know that, when you reach peak of Sveti Jure (St. George), in the winter, after the rain and north wind of bura clears the air, you can see Italian coast (some 200-250 km distance) across the ...  more »
  • Very beautiful winding, narrow road, partly without guardrails. Frequently bulge come so close gene coming over to cars. It can happen sometimes that you quite a bit backwards have to drive, to get back to the previous bulge. After 23 km you arrive in approximately 1800 m of altitude and finds there a few parking lots at the edge of the road. Upstairs there is a small circular walk which is not too difficult to cope with. Still you should wear sturdy footwear. From the trail, you have super views over the mountain peaks. In clear weather after Slovenia and the other side to the sea. Also is there a small chapel, the unfortunately to the our time to the end of September was gechlossen. Very funny look also the many Cairns that were piled up around the Ranger House of holidaymakers. To our time, in September 2016, not so many cars were on the road. Therefore, it was very relaxed to drive the road up and down. In the peak tourist season it will very likely different look and the ride will be certainly exhausting. We have enjoyed the trip anyway.
