Badija is the largest island in archipelago Škoji, near Korčula island in Croatia. The island is currently unpopulated. Franciscans from Bosnia came into possession of the island in 1398. They held it until 1949, when it was expropriated by the communist authorities.SourcesSamostan Uznesenja B. D. Marije

  • Very nice little island or the water is crystal clear. If you like white sandy beaches, don't go there. On the other hand, the water is transparent and the view of the surrounding islands is beautiful. A few deer in freedom on the island who appreciate the grape... Take a picnic and shoes to go in the water, the sea urchins home. Take a taxi Boat to 50 Kn return (about 7 euros).

  • Heaven on Earth, if we are equipped. Do not pay more than 100 kuna the round-trip taxi boat, those wooden worth 15 kuna, pay less in low season. Sun cream, fruit, water, a hat... Some coins to pay the clear water to rinse (showers are worth 2 kuna for 30 sec) and you'll be all set. ATTENTION also, diving shoes essential because there are same urchins where the water is clear. There is a restaurant bar that does good dishes but it is rather expensive (3.50 Coke for example). We loved it and really recommend!

  • Let your dropping by 1 of the boats that go from Orebic or Korcula and find a nice spot to go snorkeling! You can also walk around the island and there is a simple Church/monestry. Bit refurb (sport counter is not maintained), but nice if you are looking for some rest. Kinda like your slippers while swimming, because the crack there of the sea urchins. Also take plenty of food and drink. The restaurant was during our visit quite close and you can buy something to drink anywhere on the island or water.

  • Dar priprode, otok tako blizu a tako daleko od Orebica i Korcule, svakako mjesto za posjetiti za one koji zele da uzivaju u moru bez guzvi.
  • The beautiful nature, the turquoise clear sea. Take good care of your transfer to the island, asking for the price of a return ticket. Map in both directions is 50 kn per person usually, if you do not run into a big bluff. Although that of overrated, for 5 min drive. On the most beautiful part of the island and the beach very early fall shade because it is on the East side of the island.

  • Nice views. The beaches of the North are in the shade. In the afternoon, with windy weather there is even chilly. Deserted monastery is overrated two chapels and cloisters and a ticket they want 15kn. On the island you can meet deer that are harmless and does not fear people. Good trip for one day, but not crazy.
