  • How great is was to be here by ourselves on a beautiful fall morning. Wonderful atmosphere, breathtaking views, no admission to pay, no souvenir stands. Also no refreshments or restrooms, but you can'...  more »
  • We needed something to avoid the directions of gravel road, on which our Navi wanted to get us. There's but a paved access road. You can see little in the ruins and it is probably to restore the system. In the current state (2016) it's actually only for experts.

  • I was not sure whether such an abandoned village really a trip is worth. Well, they're pure ruins, whose dilapidated masonry even rebuilt. But no small area, this means if you gladly runs through old disintegrated castles, is this like. There is no furniture or entire houses. We ran about 20 minutes through the walls. At the entrance stands a food carts, there are no toilets. (Maximum a DIXI-klo, the Schloss of only the owner of the snack can open.) If it's on the line, you should hold on so definitely.

  • I was there in 2015 and it was absolutely worth the visit. The view from up there is great and there are a lot of places for good pictures. (If you are interested in this) You can even go a little bit on expedition as the area around the excavated ruins still contains some ruined towers, that aren't fully excavated.
  • Interesting place to see. No turist information at the location. Wikipedia is your only hope.
  • Park near the bistrò. It will take half an hour walk to visit the ruins. There is a suggested safer trail.
  • Hidden gem off the beaten track. Even if you go there at the height of summer there's next to nobody there.
  • My mother was born here, on the road, her mother was traveling by foot from Selina-Kanfanar in 1958, Dvigrad is in the midle of the road
