Categories: Specialty Museums, Museums
See exhibits of world-renowned photojournalists at War Photo Limited. The site features photos of Arab Spring, child soldiers, marine weddings, and casualties of friendly fire. Learn about the intolerance, violence, and nationalistic ideals that caused the conflicts. You'll notice that the different regions--Bosnia, Syria, Sudan, Chechnya, Afghanistan, Palestine, Israel, Pakistan, Somalia, Iraq, Columbia, and more--look strikingly alike when caught in the frenzy of war. Note that the works contain upsetting content. Excellent photos but I am not sure the war in Croatia took second place to the conflicts in the middle east.Photos were so comprehensive that I decided not to duplicate this by going to the Museum of ... read more »

This Bereichist no permanent exhibition (updated Oct 2016; Issues of Iraq, Syria, IS) and change the topics. The second area is dedicated to the Balkan conflicts. It's a permanent exhibition. Cons: Very Textlastig and Balkan conflicts actually "local" topic too little space is given and thus goes down. Pro: very impressive photographs and texts/descriptions to do so. Informative and interesting. A visit may be worth on a rainy day.show original

You cannot miss this. Amazing pictures with detailed description. The images will stay with you for a bit but it's a necessary look into the world we live in and we sometimes too easily forget so we can sleep at night
Stunning. A perspective on war and conflict that is so rarely shown. Amazing. Don't miss this if you are in Dubrovnik.
Ángel Mora SeguraThe Museum of the war of Dubrovnik always have something to contribute. The truth is that perhaps photos do not impact as well as other conflict (visually speaking) but if it is researched a little on the subject and it is open to read the many comments on the subject that there is in the room the consequences of the conflict are really shocking. Is perhaps an of them experiences fundamental of the visit to the city to agree is of what spent early on them years 90 and not leave is deceive only by the image current of Dubrovnik very open to the tourist.show original
Peter BärIn most impressive way the topics were "refugees on the Balkan route" and represented "War for Dubrovnik and its consequences for the population". The pictures are of excellent quality and their statements troublesome; Distress and misery versus police and military violence. The exhibition will occupy a long time and you will be grateful and very modest.show original
David MirabeteTwo good photographic exhibitions: one presents the drama of refugees in Europe and another war in the Balkans in the 1990s. At the entrance to give you a guide to follow each of the stories behind each of the photographs. It's worth the time.show original
