  • It is a church dedicated to the patron saint of the town St. velho. On the ruins of a church collapsed in the earthquake of 1667, was built in the Baroque style in 1715. Silver statue of St. velho is located on the main altar. Holds in his left hand seems to be the city of Dubrovnik, before the earthquake.

  • The patron saint of the Cathedral of St. Blythe favors for adults in Dubrovnik. The patron saint of the city, a long corridor of Cathedral-la grunge looks good. Most of the cathedral were damaged when the earthquake, 1667, as also has been lost in a fire in the year 1706, 1715 in the newly built Cathedral. The appearance is special not look around the square around the close.

  • Beautiful Baroque ("Venetian Baroque") sacral architecture, the Church of St. Blaise - patron saint of Dubrovnik - was built in 1715 by Venetian architect and sculptor Marino Gropelli, after the old Romanesque church had been destroyed in a fire.
  • The main single building of old town Dubrovnik. A must see not just from the outside but also from the inside!
  • Beautiful church, a centerpiece and first attention-getter upon entering this formidable and gorgeous town.
  • Cool city! 😎
