Where to stay in Dubrovnik

One of Croatia's major tourist destinations, Dubrovnik remains one of the most expensive cities in the country, especially if you wish to stay in the old town at peak season. You can choose from upscale hotel rooms just east of the old town, but for budget-friendly beds you may have to go as far as the outskirts of town. Many locals rent small rooms in their private homes, so look for rental signs in windows or check with the city's tourist office.

  • A tall majestic tower that is at the southern most end of Dubrovnik's Main Street. The bells chime on the hour with the two little figures striking the bell.  more »

  • Buillding looks great, but I found fascinating the story about Maro and Barry (or something like that) who are 2 statues which are ringing the bells with their hammers.  more »
