  • I visited in March, when the hotels were still closed for the season and the only cafe open was next door to the gift shop. However, the islands are beautiful and there's a lot of history that predate...  more »
  • Brijun is an island that tells so many stories: dinosaur footprints at the zoo of Tito, through Roman remains and microbiological experiments of Koch. On the island you can choose the guided tour on the electric train, which takes you through the natural wonders of the island: the zoo animals donated to Josip Broz from foreign leaders also has an elephant as well as several zebras, ostriches and antelopes. Of particular beauty Venus Bay (near the presidential residence) and an olive tree of more than 2000 years old. Alternatively you can hire a caddy for spin yourself around the island. In this way you can reach the coastal place where are imprinted in the rock tens of fossil footprints of carnivorous dinosaurs. In General, an island that is well worth a visit.

  • The tour was very interesting. However, as often in Croatia concerning this kind of place, the maintenance is to review (an old pool abandoned full of algae, the zoo leave hungry and is very badly maintained...). However, it is still very interesting to see what can give the megalo of one man.

  • Wonderful island in croatia. We made a tour which took about 3 hours. The nature is amazing and it's interesting to hear about all the famous people who have already been there.
  • A great fauna/flora on the island. Get there by boat, rent a bike for the day and simply enjoy the ride. Take your time and enjoy the island. Must-do (with a nice weather)
  • This is still worth a visit. The nature on the islands is great. The tour gives you some basic history around Tito, the former Yugoslavian president who had this park as his summer residence. The tour seemed a bit rushed, but that may have been due to the end of season blues. The safari parc on the island is only mediocre and some animals are just on their own like a poor elephant... Some tips; buy your tickets before hand. That way you can brush off the ticket sellers in the coast towns easily.
  • What can I say that you already have been reading all the post. This is natural beauty Everywhere You See. Is a beautiful boat right from Paola through all the islands do you get to the Beautiful beach in one of the big island that is shaped like a fish. I highly recommend this beautiful National Park
  • Only for summer.! A good place to know little more about the Yugoslavian History as its the official residence of former president Tito. A lot of things happened in this island including several international event, and it got even an Indian Elephant. :-)
