  • Very beautiful building built by famous armenian painter and architect Vardges Surenyants. Ten minute walk from Nabarezhnaja.  more »
  • The church built on money of Armenian art patron in memory of his deceased daughter, is one of the main attractions of the city. The building was built before the revolution. Its walls are built from volcanic Tuff and decorated with traditional filigree ornament. The façade looks solemn and majestic. Very beautifully painted Dome, this is especially impressive on a sunny day, thanks to the light which penetrates through the arched Windows.

  • This church was built in Yalta in the image and likeness of one of the most ancient and revered Armenian churches VII century Church of St. Hripsime Church in Echmiadzin. Its built Baku oilman in memory of his untimely deceased daughter. She was buried here, and later near were buried and his two sons. In the decoration of the Church participated Vardges Surenyants, also buried here. The texture of the Church attracted filmmakers who worked on the Yalta Film Studio. We are therefore well know it in episodes of movies "the feast of the Holy Iorgena", "Gadfly", "sword and shield", and especially "the master and Margarita" by Sergei Bezrukovym (Joshua) and Kirill Lavrov (Pontius Pilate). The church maintains a high stone stairs at 100 steps, flanked by pyramidal tisami. On that day, when I visited the Church, weather razvidnelas', the Sun came out, so the Church remembered especially bright and festive.
