  • Situated on a hill (you will need to make an effort to pretty up) outwardly humble, but very beautiful its significance Cathedral! Here lie the remains of admirals who died in the defense of Sevastopol.

  • Renovated and restored the Temple of Prince Vladimir is one of the greatest monuments of Orthodox culture. Particularly noteworthy is that it is located in the historic town of open reserve khersones. The temple takes many pilgrims each year, tourist groups. Service, passing it, anyone can visit. The atmosphere in Chersonesos, supportive and healing in all senses of the word.

  • St. Vladimir's Cathedral, burial vault of admirals-one of the greatest shrines of Sevastopol, a significant monument of Orthodox Church architecture of the second half of the 19th century. This Cathedral built for very long and the fate of his turned out to be arduous. Nicholas I of Russia, when in 1837 in Sevastopol, authorized the Chief Commander of the Black Sea fleet Vice Admiral Lazarev to build a temple in honor of St. Prince Vladimir. Lazarev chose for the construction of the Temple of the most exalted place in the center of city Hill, with a beautiful view on the RAID and the seashore. At the same time the agenda was a proposal to erect a church in Chersonesos. Around these two options in Saint Petersburg flared long dispute, in which Lazarus M.p. managed to defend his decision, but heavy illness prevented the Admiral to begin construction of the temple. Soon after he left for medical treatment in Vienna, where he died in 1851,. Given the immense merit of Russia outstanding Naval Commander, scientist and creator, Nicholas I ordered to bury him inside the future Vladimir Cathedral. The temple itself was officially founded on July 15, 1854. by September of the same year, when Allied troops landed in Evpatoria, on the construction of the Cathedral managed to complete the Foundation and basement walls. Naturally, work stopped, and workers and materials used for the construction of fortifications.
