See a vibrant display of Russian military history by visiting the museum specially built to house the enormous painting, measuring 14 m (50 ft) tall and 115 m (377 ft) long. Look closely to spot the many details included in the panorama of the siege, which lasted from 1854 to 1855. The painting features hundreds of individual soldiers, realistically painted cannons and military equipment, and the topography of the harbor itself.
