Monument to the Flooded Ships in Sevastopol, Sevastopol

4.8
Commemorating 50 years from the First Defense of Sevastopol, rises 16.7 m (54.7 ft) out of the sea. As a part of the memorial complex that was created in 1905, this large Corinthian column with an eagle on the top reminds visitors of the sacrifice made in a battle against the Allied navy. Aware that the enemy had a much stronger army, the Russian military council created a barrier using all its ships, and the entire defense force united at land. This prevented the powerful enemy from approaching. If you swim to the landmark, you'll also see a plaque on its granite base, featuring a map of the sites where the ships sank. • First, what you can't tear your eyes on quay of Sevastopol Bay is a monument to the scuttled ships ... Majestic Monument was erected in 1905, for the defense of the city of Sevastopol (1854-1855 years) from overseas Anglo-French enemies. Surprisingly, Russian savvy ships sink thereby prevent approach flotilla to the Bank, argues that the Russian people are unconquerable.. The monument is a symbol of the city. It is so beautiful on a background of blue sea and blue sky that takes your breath away. I advise you to take a tour of the Bay water that will bring to the monument and then it will be possible to further appreciate the power and greatness of the monument, see more ships are moored to the shore and listen to interesting facts about the flotilla of Sevastopol, as today's and previous years. And wherever, in Crimea we are not photographed, the best fogorafii are obtained on the background of the monument of scuttled ships ...
