Grafskaya Wharf, Sevastopol

4.6
Walk down the stairs of the white granite Grafskaya Wharf to reach the sea, and find out about historical events that occurred at the site. Dorian columns create a popular photography spot, and thousands of people lounge on the stairs throughout the year. Dating back to 1783, when it was just a wooden quay, the monument has changed in appearance through time, eventually becoming a Roman temple-like structure. Prominent Italian sculptor Ferdinando Pellichio added marble lions, and the city council installed memorial plaques describing historic events that happened here. Of particular note is the fact that the site served as a communication channel between the town's defenders during the Crimean War. As for me, the count's Quay is a visit card of Sevastopol. Stunning, rich history, clean air, fun atmosphere. Be sure to take sea excursion. Many cafes and restaurants. As well as many different entertainment. Enjoyed watching the moon through a telescope.

At this pier, we completed our boat trip to the ships Sevastopol Squadron. A fitting conclusion to our excursions on the Bay.

Suitable for taking pictures in any manner! A feeling of a resort of Soviet films! Or from the ancient mifof. In any case, great place!
