  • I reserved skeptical about "ancient Chersonesos". While I like the presence of historical reserve at this place. I do not know whether the city here two thousand years ago, whether set foot here of St Andrew, was baptized here Prince Vladimir, but legends are beautiful, create a special image of the place attract tourists, and hence I agree almost believe in them. When I visited for the first time in Chersonesos fifty years ago, there is almost nothing that we see now. Saint Volodymyr Cathedral was in ruins, was only the famous Bell hung on two pylons. Having visited here in January, I can say that much has been done in recent years. New Cathedral looks very beautiful and ornate inside. Monument to Saint Andrew captures the fact his visit to Crimea. Ancient columns and stone bases of ancient buildings don't look very convincing. But the stunning sea view!

  • A mandatory place to visit in Sevastopol were here with a guide, stands quite inexpensive, but information about the ancient Greek ruins of very interesting area Chersonese in General Magic, here even underwater pyramid found, but did not press wrote about this national historical and archaeological reserve Khersones Tavricheskiy — in my opinion, the best attraction in Sevastopol. If you saw the Tauric Chersonese, I can safely say that you saw Crimea. 6-10 century Basilica in Chersonesos-the most famous and most beautiful part of the reserve. Make sure the photo here.
