  • Perhaps this 2.5 Millennium polemon BARROW and not used for its intended purpose, but what a unusual emotions visit people under its arches! I have pride in humanity, which already was capable create such complex architectural masterpieces! Inside since the creators of practically nothing has changed. Razve that scratched on the stone crosses from the first Crimean Christians, Yes in the Tomb a few gems installed one of Kerch mayors to reinforce constructions. Take a look at the "inscriptions on the walls! Compare the feeling of length of the corridor, if you look at it from the outside and the inside! Just wait in silence and listen to the whispers of the centuries ... A small museum in the House protection is not very impressive.

  • Honestly, after a visit to the quarries, I expect to see more interesting building, judging by the name Imperial. Bosporus Kingdom could qualitatively build tombs. Archaeologists found remnants of a wooden sarcophagus, it means at least a major official or close to the King could find 2300 years ago the last rest in 18 meter Tomb reminding me than the Egyptian pyramids. Liked sacrificial Bowl inlet fitting and quality limestone blocks. recommend visiting ancient lovers history.

  • If you are in the village of Adzhimushkaj and you have half an hour of free time before visiting the Adzhimushkay quarries, use this time to peek into the nearby (500 metres)-the most famous burial mound of Crimea-Massandra Kurgan. Such name for BARROW stuck a long time ago, because scientists, based on its size, devices, and few artifacts suggest that it was built in the 4th century to our time for the burial of one of bosporian Kings. That the construction of the almost 2500 years, deserves attention. And although the Barrow was plundered in antiquity, unusual its appearance and the device reached our days. Its main feature is the device of the corridor leading from the entrance to the burial chamber: at the entrance Corridor narrowed, and at the entrance to the burial chamber is extended, making Visual distance from the entrance to the burial chamber seems short, but when you look at the opposite of camera outward-long. Suggest that this was done intentionally to remind the living of the impermanence of life. Next to the mound is a small museum where you can learn about the history of discovery of the mound, his excavations, device, a small number found here archeological findings.
