Taigan Lions Park, Bilohirsk

(4.6/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
In a savannah-like setting along Crimean foothills, Taigan Lions Park houses over 50 lions and several other animals, which are allowed to roam free through vast open plains. Considered to be the first park of its kind in Europe, the park cares for the animals in their native habitats, spread across 36 hectares (89 acres). In order to allow the visitors to observe the creatures in the wild without disturbing them, the site offers numerous observation decks, totaling 1 km (0.6 mi) in length. Here you'll see anything from tiny cubs playing to majestic white lions roaring. In addition, you can visit a small zoo at the site, with giraffes, bears, monkeys, and other animals. • A lot of different animals, many you can feed (food sold near the Aviary). Large outdoor enclosures with Tigers and lions, with the Lions, you can chat with the staff of the Zoo (paid service). Some birds and animals roam freely. Sold many thematic souvenirs, Park well decorated, lots of greenery. For arrivals on the car parking is free of charge. The only thing depressing-inside the Park practically nowhere to fine dine, although many cafes, but the quality of food leaves much to be desired.

  • Came here for the first time in 2014. with the tour, and then in 2016g. alone on the car since this time in vacation went by car from Peter. As you already understood, the times decided to repeat visit, for the first time and liked it. In General, all is well. Of course, prices are high, but the contents of the beasts is not cheap. On the territory there is a cafe, shops, you can even not helicopter. Recommend more time laying on the visit, because the territory is huge, clearly more of the Leningrad Zoo. I am very pleased that the Lions inhabit the large free territory. But this perhaps and all the delights of freedom, because the rest of the animals are traditionally in the cells. I agree that most of them more than a Zoo, but it's still a cage. Many were surprised that animals fed bread (rolls), such as bears. Surprised as well that sell salty sticks, which can feed monkeys, for example. Just elsewhere generally forbidden to feed animals anything. There is a sad moment, which upset and we decided that we cannot remain silent about it: we met a pond for seals, so the condition of the water was disgusting-the water is turbid, nothing is visible. Rarely, rarely you can see ponytail, which again zanyrivali inhabitant and hid in the water mass. So there's still that improve the owners. In any case, I recommend everyone to visit the Park and small adults.

  • For the first time visited "Safari" in the year 2014 and since then we go every year. First time went reluctantly. Lions Park? That could be interesting in monitoring a bunch of Lions ' carcasses littering? However, the reality proved very different. Not only does this park lions, but also a huge Zoo. Not just a Zoo, and semi-Petting Zoo. Animals here officially can feed, including its food. Animals can be contacted directly. There is a playground with special contact mini goats, pigs. Walk along the paths peacocks, ducks, chickens. On the territory of the Zoo Café, where you can snack on tasty and inexpensive. Not to walk you can rent velomobile or use electric trains. There is also a possibility for $9.95 (in the year 2016) to be photographed with a young lion or Tiger Cub. Visit the "Safari" is better in nezharkuju (cloudy) weather. During the heat of animals often sleep, hiding in the shadows. Come early in the morning with a view to hold in the Park all day. "Safari" with 8 am (until 8 pm).
