Safari-park Taygan, Bilohirsk

Must see · Zoo · Zoo / Aquarium
In a savannah-like setting along Crimean foothills, Safari-park Taygan houses over 50 lions and several other animals, which are allowed to roam free through vast open plains. Considered to be the first park of its kind in Europe, the park cares for the animals in their native habitats, spread across 36 hectares (89 acres). In order to allow the visitors to observe the creatures in the wild without disturbing them, the site offers numerous observation decks, totaling 1 km (0.6 mi) in length. Here you'll see anything from tiny cubs playing to majestic white lions roaring. In addition, you can visit a small zoo at the site, with giraffes, bears, monkeys, and other animals. Our Bilohirsk tour planning website makes visiting Safari-park Taygan and other Bilohirsk attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • It's exellent place, very beatiful safari-park! Greetings for owner Oleg Zubkov, who created and develops this biggest safari-park in Europe.
  • The lion park Taigan is the largest European breeding ground for lions and other large predator mammals, located in the Belogorsk Raion of Crimea. As of 2019 about 80 lions and 50 tigers roamed over the area of over 30 hectares of Crimean foothills by the Taigan Reservoir. (Source: wikipedia). Lots of contradictory opinions expressed whether lions ought to be treated as pets. Leave this topic to the discretion of the reader.
  • Best animal park that I visited. Lions were fantastic
