Tenorio National Park, Costa Rica

(4.5/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web)
Featuring four volcanic peaks and two craters, Tenorio National Park offers numerous hiking trails passing lagoons, waterfalls, and rivers. As you walk, keep your eyes peeled for tapirs, ocelots, and pumas. Observe the park's river, colored light blue thanks to the abundant emissions of volcanic sulfur. Stroll around geysers and thermal hot springs before you reach the peak with a panoramic view, or devote all your time to exploring some of 130 sq km (50 sq mi) of swimming areas and picnic spots. The park's amenities include first aid stations, restrooms, and access to clean drinking water. • If you have the time d go so far, then you will not regret! Beautiful walk in the jungle to volcano. Don't forget your rubber boots! The waterfall (30 m high, she throws herself into turquoise water!) alone is worth the 2:30 in ballad (round trip). The Blue Lake, the bubbles of sulphur in the river and this magical place where the water changes color! The rio Celeste is worth the trip!
