Tenorio National Park, Costa Rica

(4.4/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web)
Featuring four volcanic peaks and two craters, Tenorio National Park offers numerous hiking trails passing lagoons, waterfalls, and rivers. As you walk, keep your eyes peeled for tapirs, ocelots, and pumas. Observe the park's river, colored light blue thanks to the abundant emissions of volcanic sulfur. Stroll around geysers and thermal hot springs before you reach the peak with a panoramic view, or devote all your time to exploring some of 130 sq km (50 sq mi) of swimming areas and picnic spots. The park's amenities include first aid stations, restrooms, and access to clean drinking water. Make Tenorio National Park a centerpiece of your Bagaces vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Bagaces family vacation planner.

  • Equal is that we carry many countries visited (I don't want to sound pedantic) but it seems to me that this park and others on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica are the only thing worth mentioning waterfall overvalued and its pool of a spectacular color guides strive much but it is that the place does not give for more

  • We have made the ride in a tropical rain that made the small muddy path to perfection. Remember to wear good walking shoes. The fall is already impressive in itself. A little further a "mirador" offers a beautiful view in clear weather. Possibility to dine after the ride.
