  • We've visited Guaitil, a little town just outside of Santa Cruz, many times. Their main industry? Pottery making. And, since we stay right here in Tamarindo every January, we got a second chance to ad...  more »
  • I agree with the article "a mistake!" Helen. Located on the site of Guatil 2 small shops which make us know art Chorotega: - Las Tinajitas which is the Elma workshop but also the shop - Mono Congo Loco, which belongs to the family of Miguel. Elma's 70. She has devoted her life to perpetuate the Chorotega art through pottery, like his ancestors. Miguel works family. The equipment and the materials used come from nature or recovery. I had a very good time in these shops, and I'm sure to have bought quality.
