  • I found something funny to the bridge. I didn't think as much for their preservation, it is degraded, but what I really don't think that it's a tourist attraction. There I spent as the Costa Rica border with Panama. Visit this border?! No way, for the transpose, for there is no other choice and thus may have time to enjoy the bridge, because sometimes the customs arrangements take and the border police may let you explore the ruined bridge Board.

  • Border between Costa Rica and the Panama, the old bridge is quite pretty, but all is ruin by the touts who want absolutely to their taxi, entry and exit of the Costa Rica to pay tax...

  • Customs out common habits. We will lose some time since release rights offices and payouts are done in different places but the staff is helpful and courteous though sometimes there are tourists really unbearable to handle. Cross the bridge again, beside the one damaged by the earthquake of 92, is a particular experience that allows the vision of the river sixaola and makes it clear why the frontier between the two countries changes with each flood of the river. A blast from the past!

  • Pretty cool to cross an international border on the aging bridge. I crossed in the summer of 2015, but I have heard that they have upgraded the bridge.
  • I had fun cossing this rickety disused railroad bridge with gaps between the planks. Waiting in line in the hot sun for a long time to get your exit tax verifed is less fun, and would be no fun at all if you forget to pay your exit tax. There's no need to buy seats on that shuttle van. The local buses work fine. Just remember to turn left after the drug-sniffing dogs on the Panama side and pay $3 each. Then walk UNDER the bridge approach and wait on the bench outside the supermarket for the local bus. We had a fun ride in an old crate with lots of chrome, reclining seats and daytime TV. BTW, Guabito is in Panama not Costa Rica. Sixaola is in Costa Rica. Easily confused, since both are funky border towns.
  • I have beautiful memories of my youth, a single visit a beauty experience.
