Built in 1917 and still used on a daily basis Correos de Costa Rica houses the national post office, tourism office, and Philatelic museum. The structure was designed by a foreign architect and showcases an eclectic mix of styles, with the nation’s coat of arms displayed on the central facade. Inside, it contains items of historical significance, such as old telegraphic equipment and the first Costa Rican stamps, which date back to 1863.
