This guy using the nickname PATS FOOTBALL is a liar and the comments he made are fake. He never went to CASINO FIESTA ALAJUELA and his story is absolutely invented, as well as is a lie that he was on jail in Costa Rica during days or something similar. We have started legal actions to find this coward in USA or wherever he is, to make him pay for damages. Probably this guy doesn't exist and is another invention from our competitors trying to affect our image, but let's see the end of this story. Thanks to all.
Fajitas at pirates are pretty good. Nice helpful staff, decent place for a beer. Hamburgers and American style food is not recommended.

I stopped in to use their ATM machine. It was close to my hotel and I needed some cash. I withdrew $100,000 Colons, about 530 per $1 US dollar. Somehow I left a $10,000 note in the machine. A lady working a kiosk nearby noticed the bill. She sent a guy to track me down and return my money! Can you believe that? I figured it was my lucky day but decided to keep my money.
If you like slot machines it's probably not a bad place but the table games where bad.
Stay away. I had a 8 hour lay over at the airport, so I went here to relax and play a few games with my wife. Anyways, I kept getting bothered by random Latin people asking me personal questions. I started to feel funny so I went looking for my wife. Anyways, a man bigger than me came out of nowhere and pushed me on the ground. I got up and he pushed me again. Then out of nowhere, 10 security guys picked me up and put me in a choke hole and one of the security guys popped me on the head with his night stick while the other security guard held me at gun point. Blood is gushing down my head and my wife was in panic. They searched me and also took my wallet, passport, wedding ring, and iphone. The guards kept everything and then threw me outside on the concrete where the police were waiting. The police took me into custody and held me for 2 weeks until the American Consulate could get me out. I was stripped to my underwear in jail and forced to eat rice and beans that had roach eggs and other bugs infused in it. The American Consulate told me: This is a scam that goes on all across Costa Rica and I'm not the first one at Casino Fiesta that this has happened too. I was also told, that the Colombian Cartel pushes drugs through San Jose, and the cops and Casinos are bribed and are also involved with the cartels. When I was in court, the Casino couldn't provide any video of the incident because they were having technical problems with the video systems in the Casino. Go figure!! I ended up losing my $5,000 wedding ring, $600 phone, $1,200 in cash, my card was also charged $2,000 by the Casino for games and services I didn't purchase. And my medical bills were nearly $1,000 from the stiches I received in jail. And here's the kicker: The police and the jail charged me $1,500 for my stay before I could even leave the country. Did I also mention: Me and my wife were on a missionary mission from our church. We were helping a poor community in San Jose. God will get these people and bring them to justice for their wrong doings. I have faith in that.
