Waterfall
Take a guided hike through Sensoria Land of Senses, on the slopes of the Rincón de la Vieja volcano. Stop at many waterfalls and pools, all with strikingly blue water--the result of volcanic silicon in the rocks. Your knowledgeable guide will point out the hidden wildlife in the nature park around you. (The fact that nocturnal tapirs and jaguars have been filmed here in the past gives you an idea of the area's diversity.) Round out your jungle hike with a relaxing dip in the cool blue pools. • My husband & I did the hike with a small group, which I think was nice because because you could hear the guides and it wasn't too crowded. We hiked for around 3 hours and stopped at 3 different pools...  more »

  • Absolutely stunning water. Watch out for vipers we saw one. Our guide pointed out a sloth too.
  • Absolutely breathtaking! This place is truly special and the people running it are taking strides to preserve its beauty and allow the rainforest life to flourish. Sensoria is an incredible opportunity to see nature as it supposed to exist.
  • This was one of the best. Our two guides Gio and Jaoquin were so knowledgeable on everything Costa Rica (history, geography, politics, sports, food, etc.) and were so well versed in the biology of the rain forest we were amazed. Their keen eyes spotted lizards, venomous snakes, rare birds and they could explain all creatures. WOW.
  • We recently went to Sensoria and have a private tour of the most amazing rain forrest. The falls we beautiful, just like the pictures, the clear blue water was cold, but bearable. Out guide Joaquin was excellent and knew everything about the area and the history. The hot spring pools at the end were a perfect finishing touch. The food and service was top quality 5 star. I would highly recommend the trip out there, it's a beautiful country setting. The last hour or so on the road is rough, and a 4x4 is needed.
  • Unforgettable...
