  • I was on a mission to find some lovely Hot Springs in the area on my healing journey. The facility was beautiful! However I was gravely disappointed by the water in the pools. I don’t think there was ...  more »

  • Visit the place with my partner to celebrate our anniversary, at the reception we attended Xavier, a friendly boy who explained very detail map of the place and we give the room key, the already gave the face by his Department that any doubt that you performed the insults in a very friendly way, Andy of reception you should learn a little fellow already that the seems that it bothers him that guests ask. With regard to rooms idk if it was ours or are all but did not have a pleasant smell, also have a serious problem with the fans as they blow absolutely nothing and in my room not wanted to work then had to call maintenance and get Don Luis villalobos a very kind gentleman and helpful k came to try to help us with this subject however are fans who in my opinion are toy, another problem presented our room were the curtains that do not close well and everything is saw from afue RA, should change them as the host needs more privacy. With respect to the restaurants, we were told that had restaurant buffet however left him enabled only for a group that came to approximately 60 people leave to others that also were paying on one side. The same happened with the spa restaurant that also enabled it for a group leaving excluded us from that service. And this does not end here, for the lunch hour is supposed that was enabled the mountain restaurant, the decepsionante was that we arrived and already ksi wasn't food, several people had to return it and go get to eat elsewhere, missing about 1 hour so the restaurant closed. In the Department of restaurants emphasize the excellent attention of Antonio to us served at the dinner in the restaurant Jaguar, another person who was friendly was Jorge de bars, however should leave the cell aside and pay attention to the customer when you this talking about since I believe that it is a priority. In the canopy, all were kind but Jonathan and Marlon (lito) they looked, they were too attentive, helpful and friendly, they made our stay a little pleasant since with its good service, they showed us that aunk is not the best place in the world, a good deal could generate a pokito of desire to return. They make the canopy chivisima. I think that many of the contributors (not at all) should put them to the couple of Javier (reception) Luis Villalobos (maintenance) Antonio (salonero) Jonathan and Lito (Canopy) so that they teach them to others to say good morning, welcome, as they are, Thank you, that smiling and k to make the guest feel at home and give desire to return. In a nutshell not me hospedaria nunk more hotel accommodation system is very bad, I think that they are too focused on quantity and not quality, so much so that until the food of the restaurants this is just being consequence to privatize restores before groups that just like us when we reserve offered us variety of restaurants but to open them for those who to them gives the win. Regresaria maybe a day pass and would make for the good treatment that above mentioned persons of less never had lo haria. Ultimately if you want to sleep comfortable and rich good view is not that place.

  • We didn't stay at the resort, but we did go an adventure excursion with them. We went on a 3-hour horseback riding tour to 3 waterfalls. It was beautiful. Just keep in mind that it's really helpful if you are in shape so since it 's not just horseback riding, but also a bit of hiking to get to the waterfalls. It also helps if you speak Spanish. Our guide spoke very little English, but he was very nice.
  • We had an fantastic time at the Buena Vista Lodge. (June 2017). This place is beautiful located in the middle of the rain forest. A lot of monkeys, birds and butterflies around. We stayed for two days at the Buena Vista Lodge and did a lot of activities. The zip line and the hanging bridges are fantastic. The service is very kind and helpful. The food was good, the roams are a little bit dark but okay. We loved every minute of our time there.
  • This is a luxury lodge as far as I am concerned. The paved roads, impeccable service, well signed trails, and rustic rooms were perfect for our stay. The lodge employs ~60 people and they work very hard. The food was pretty standard and the restaurant prices were about what you pay in the USA at a reasonable hotel. Given the remote nature of this place, I was happy to pay fair prices. The only draw back was several of us were bitten by insects either in our beds or during excursions; This is hardly the hotel's fault. We did see a lot of tour groups come through from the beaches. They all looked tired from what must be a long day. I don't know why anyone would make a day trip here; You should stay a couple nights, enjoy the view, and do the excursions a la carte for a much better experience.
  • We had a fantastic guide! He was extremely nice and funny-also spoke great English. We had so much fun!! I would highly recommend the mega combo. Best bang for your buck, completely worth it!!
  • PLEASE AVOID ANY AND ALL EXCURSIONS HOSTED OR PLANNED BY BUENA VISTA. We traveled 2 hours on an excursion with them on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from DREAMS Costa Rica and saw person after person almost lose their life or get seriously injured. Just within my party of 19 people, we had a few people flip over in the water slide, one of them seriously injuring her head when it smacked up against the concrete slide as she flipped uncontrollably. The worst and most horrible site was the woman who was allowed to move from one platform to the next on the zip line before the person in front of her had been detached properly. They almost collided in midair, but she instead collided into a tree and seriously injured her back and had to be rushed to a local hospital for care. Both she and her 12-year old daughter left the resort absolutely traumatized by the experience. I also witnessed a man from another party come out of the water slide with a bloody mouth and a missing front tooth. He said his experience on the slide was similar to what we witnessed within our party. Our guide was really nice and informative. However, he claimed that in all of years he had never seen any serious accidents happen during the excursions. I find that hard to believe after witnessing so many of them in such a short period of time. Avoid them if you want your life.
