Macaw Sanctuary Natuwa, Punta Arenas

(95+ reviews on the web)
Wildlife Area
Macaw Sanctuary Natuwa provides a safe refuge for wild animals that have been the victims of destructive human activity (like hunting, for example). The sanctuary keeps endangered animals within a protected area in which they can live out their lives with dignity--many even find the possibility to return to their native habitats after receiving treatment and recovering from injuries. You can do more than observe macaws at this attraction--the refuge runs a volunteer program offering animal lovers a chance to contribute by cleaning enclosures, planting trees, giving tours, and more.
