A trip toChocorart lets you discover a world very similar to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Owned by a Swiss couple, this attraction allows visitors to see the transformation of raw beans into a cup of hot chocolate. Learn how the cocoa beans are harvested, fermented, and cooked using traditional Mayan methods that date back many centuries. Completely organic, the chocolate produced here contains no artificial additives. Taste different types of chocolate and make sure you drop by the gift shop to collect a few sweet souvenirs for the trip back home. • The farm was founded by a Swiss and his son has led us in a very nice way, in English and German by the farm. The individual steps of the Schokoladenherstellerung were super prepared and produced a chocolate and even at the end of chocolate - a pleasure. It was really welcome and it was tourist rip-off in any way. The price is high like anything in Costa Rica, but I found him reasonable, especially since the Group of 10 persons was not very large.

  • We stopped daily after spending the day at the beach. Wonderful cold chocolate drinks. My 8 year old favorite place on our trip.  more »
  • The owner is just amazing, passionate, available, welcoming... but above all authentic! Great tour and tasting (best chocolate in our life!)! It was really exciting and we see that he does it with passion (this isn't a "tourist tour" or to "cash money"!) Quite the contrary! The explanations are top and this guy is awesome! We loved! Our best visit the CR! Pura Vida!

  • David the guide is a cool and well informed guy and also the owner of the chocolate farm. The place has an interesting history and the tour is very personal.
  • We had an amazing experience going through the tour with David our guide. He was so well informed not only about the Cacao plantation but the history of this beautiful country. We would highly recommend visiting the store and taking the tour. You will die when they seeve you all the goddies at the end of the tour 💖
  • Organic chocolate farm, the tour will show you from the tree to the hot chocolate
  • Quite simply the best sipping chocolate on the planet!
  • Fascinating tour of a cacao plantation and mini chocolate production. Really a highlight of the time in the area and a don't miss. Learned so much about a history and process i never took much interest in before. Left with a great appreciation for chocolate and also some nice souvenirs.
