  • With all due respect, a calm site, a test is climb the Hill, because you are going to rise in height and missing air, but when you go along a road surrounded by mountains, vegetation and fauna that are unique, it's worth the effort of each step. Don't miss the opportunity to know him, since I can assure you that it is a unique experience that no doubt will want to repeat.

  • If you are one of those who practice hiking this route is for you! But you do much exercise not to recommend it to you! They are 14.5 km to reach the refuge which are all slope! The place is magical and very nice, helps to purify body and mind. To reach the top you must scale a little bit. The refuge maintains the basics for your stay, bed baths food... . There is no internet and not enter the cellular signal. Sometimes the shelter puts internet and sometimes falls as on all side. I think that it is a place of much physical demand in cold conditions!

  • Then we read about all without too much so now: online booking only, and payment also. Of the you you registered and you went on the tab book Chirripó. You can see by filling if there are places available at the shelter, or by the day, or not at all. We were lucky he stayed 7 place to make a round trip day. Book and pay so the day before in the village. If you have a computer or a problem the hostel across from the Park Rangers station. You help go to sites explained it all for free. Thank you again :) Starting at 1: 00 in the morning we didn't want to take the risk of missing the view, because the top sail often after 9: 00 we put 6 to get to the top and 6 o'clock back down. Nice view but get chilly at the top especially if his breath strong jacket and Gore - Tex are good ;) You can fill your water bottles along the road so no need to take 2litres go light. It is true that there has been no control we could not pay, but own path and maintained. So without regret! Enjoy!
