  • We drove thru the park. Not a lot of people. Saw a beautiful waterfall. Could have been the Monte Sky Mirador  more »
  • They wander not merely "Sendero natural Arboles Caldos", if they are not masochistic predisposed. This muddy, slippery trail first steep uphill, then steep hill, has been a single torture. I am just 1.53 m tall, and up came partially hardly the high levels of dirt, roots etc.. The "Sendero Oropendola" is nice and equipped with toilets and picnic areas. We are there down went to the River to wash our dirty hiking boots. Unfortunately it then started to rain, and we have entered the home. The short stop at "El Mirador" was not worth it. During the 2 1/2 hours in the Park except for a few small, inconspicuous birds, we saw no animals.

  • We have been living in Costa Rica for several months and are nearing the end of our stay. We're going to places we really want to see before we leave. The Orosi Valley is one of those places on my lis...  more »

  • This park will make you feel as far from the city and its complications as you can get. Perfect for exercising and hiking if you feel like it. One thing I would’ve liked to know before my first visit was that there’s a river and you can take a swim in it. Also it is not cold, on the contrary, it is very humid, so wear some shorts and light clothes. The chance of it raining is very high, it’s best to visit early in the morning. 4x4 vehicle recommended!!!! A normal vehicle will not get there, at least not without complications or damage.
  • Very beautiful national park. Was quite isolated and less touristy, but still had great hiking trails down to the river and up through the mountains. A little tough to get to, but its worth the trip!
  • Nature beautiful location. Beware of road pot holes that can get you stranded with broken tires and rims. Happened to me.
  • Awesome trip, we hike the easy and medium trails. Both actually are pretty easy, coming back to do the rest for sure.
  • Nature everywhere, high mountain forest
