  • What a great tour. One of the best things we have done. The crew was friendly and fun. The food was wonderful and the experience is a must for those visiting the tea.  more »

  • The idea with these tours is speed n convenience, but this is Costa Rica so don't expect anything to be fast or on time. Only 1 out of 5 times of using their services were they able to complete the ride within the promised time. The key here is to plan 4-5 hours with Zuma tours even though they say 3. Transit options to/from Jaco n Montezuma/Santa Teresa: $50 for a 3-hr taxi boat door-to-door service (time varies) Or
  • Great company, professional, fair price for area. Newer boats. Did the snorkelling at an island adventure. Went on a 45 minute boat ride to an island...felt they could have entertained a bit more with some tunes or commentary of the area... Snorkelling was neat, lots of lil fish, guide found a puffer fish, octopus, starfish and brought them around to see. Saw dolphins and whales on the trips in and back. Got to the island to hang out and have lunch which was good. Had plastic stand up paddleboards...hard n not so good for a bigger guy. (260lbs n it was partially submerged) they had option for surfboards, kayaks, ride on a banana tube behind a boat, or jus hang in the water. Only real down.... to pay for a beach lounger chair and pay for a toilet.
  • Only complaint I had a out the tour is that we waited 20 minutes for a couple of guys that were late. Several people in the group felt we should of left them too. Tour had 20 people on each boat which I felt was to many, but it turned out ok. Snorkeling site was average at best. Second site had so many people it was hard not to get kicked. Made us wear life jackets on the boat ride over but not while snorkeling. Strange. I'm glad I didn't have to while snorkeling though. Didn't feel rushed on either location though. Guides had tons of drinks/beers at both lunch and at all times on the boat. They also cut up fresh pineapple when we came up both time. Lunch and the island where they fed us lunch were both very good. Again free alcoholic/non alcoholic drinks. Guides also gave us coconut half way through island time. So many people on island though. Guides did say it was a very busy day. Overall would do it again if I had inexperienced snorkelers with me. My group enjoyed the snorkeling but they had never been before so didn't really know what good snorkeling was like.
  • Water taxi, shuttle services or trip to tortuga, can't get better than these guys. Great boats, professional crews, a class act overall.
  • These guys really go all out. Our snorkeling sesh today was so memorable. We saw humpback whales, dolphins, sea turtles, sea urchins and an octopus! They serve up drinks and freshly cut fruit and a *DELICIOUS* bbq. The tour guides are really knowledgeable and helpful. The ride back from the island was so fun with giant waves and speed. Me and daughter loved our day. Thanks, Zuma!
