Monteverde Wildlife Refuge, Monteverde
(3.6/5 based on 130 reviews on the web)
Explore some of Costa Rica's most pristine cloud forest at Monteverde Wildlife Refuge. Birdwatchers head here to catch sight of plentiful exotic avian species including quetzal, bellbirds, and toucans. Other species such as olingos, raccoons, armadillos, and sloths also inhabit the area. At an elevation of 4,724 ft (1,440 m) above sea level, oxygen is more sparse; avoid overexertion and bring plenty of water. Buy a poncho from the gift shop to protect from the wetness of the forest. • Were not found, Kinkajou, montebeldeserbaturapark, guide it to staff tours here once strongly desires to serve. Seen that work in the branches of the tree by a couple of the Kinkajou, shining your light so could take photos. I think your customer well, perhaps privately-owned forests because we been going, keep this.

  • Night rain. We collected at the hotel about 20 pm for the Nightwalk. They give us flashlights and indications of the type "not touches much, if you fall off don't you grabbing anything because you can take a surprise". We had the opportunity to see a snake venomous lora within walking distance, among other many insects stick bugs, Wolf spider, tarantula... it was very exciting to see these animals and know them better with the explanations of the guides. It made us turn off the lights all to contemplate a few moments the deep darkness of the forest and is certainly an experience that does not live anywhere... is shocking! We were eager to see a bear lazy and completely wet! But it was an experience that I recommend without doubts.
