Playa Manuel Antonio
Within a national park, Playa Manuel Antonio allows you to combine a bit of history with a lot of classic sun-and-sand fun. The stone turtle traps here bear witness to the area's pre-Colombian tribes, while a family-friendly vibe and plenty of sandy space invite visitors to picnic or play sports. Backed by lush vegetation, the beach remains a popular spot for swimming, surfing, and soaking up some warm Caribbean sun. The surrounding area boasts an impressive diversity of wildlife, including over 100 species of mammals and nearly 200 species of birds. Overall a great beach to go to. The people there who run the beach are very nice and helpful and can answer most questions you have about the area. You do have to walk down a hill for a few minutes to get there, but the walk is really nice and beautiful as it runs along a creek. When I went there I was even lucky enough to see a sloth hanging in the branches of a tree near the edge of the forest.

We read a lot of mixed reviews before visiting Manuel Antonio National Park! I would say that it is definitely worth a visit! The wildlife we were able to see was simply amazing. We did choose to go into the park without a guide and we were glad that we did... we were able to spend as much time at the beach as we wanted and those with guides were limited to the time they had at the beach! The beaches are possibly the most beautiful I have ever seen!! We spent the entire day in the park and loved every minute of it!!

Take appropriate walking shoes, as you will have to trek about 20 minutes between the access point and the beach itself. Don't stand still under the monkeys, they will pee over you.

Excellent Park and Beach, one of the most beautiful I've ever visited, a magical place full of wild animals and very convenient facilites and bathrooms. A unique experience

This area looks tired and non stop hustlers trying to sell you this and that like cigars noise makers and local carvings. They'll even come up to you while you're eating privately in restaurant. The sand isn't the whitest not water clear; the waves are better for beginner surfing than swimming. they'll even convince you to park and pay and are very convincing if you don't know better... just find a spot on the main or side streets
